Solo Music Gig in Maine - Getting the “Equipment Ready - Part 6

By now I have put together the essentials:

Songs, Set Lists, Keys for songs, Instrument selection for each song, Banter bits, Poster (more on poster later)…

… and as the gig drew closer I needed to gather my equipment and practice with it. Not too much required, but I certainly didn’t want to forget anything I needed to be clearly heard. And if I was going to have anyone else join me I wanted to be able to plug them in as well.

I own - and this is pretty much the complete list:

Hals's First Solo Poster for 4Points Gig

Now, I certainly didn’t need all of this for a solo gig, but it is nice to know what you have so you can select what you need.

For this first gig I chose:
1 JBL Powered Speaker
1 Speaker Stand
1 Fender Amp
1 Power Strip
1 (borrowed mixer) - didn’t have the Mackie Yet
Cables for:
Guitar to board and/or amp
Microphone to board
Line 6 - wireless system:
wireless receiver to in-line tuner cable 6” - tuner to amp
20” cable – medium 16” cable for transmitter to instrument
Board to speaker
Extra Cables for additional instruments (for guest artists)
Martin D-42 Guitar / Case
Stelling Sunflower with a Black Kavanjo Banjo Head / Case
Finger Picks / Flat Picks
Song Lists - Song Book with some cheat sheets

Brief Case to hold “stuff”

I practiced the set-up, placement (a small stage) and adjusting the sound, so when I got to the venue it would all work.
