Hal Meyers - aka DAMEON Performs Magic In North Korea 1991

Okay … I recently wrote and published an article (October 2013) in an on-line Magic Magazine "VANISH" (issue #10) about a trip I took to perform my manipulative magic act (with Doves) at the Friendship Arts Festival in the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea (DPRK - yes, North Korea) in 1991.

I contacted my college - Ramapo College located in Mahwah, New Jersey - (class of 1980) … and they were very interested in my story. I spent a short while on the phone with one of the alumni writers, a very talented Ramapo student - and the director of Alumni relations - Rayna Wendell. Therefore I am hoping there will soon be a profile in one of the Ramapo College upcoming e-news letter about the trip. 

Briefly: It's an adventure I took with my dear friend Mundaka Lee … the year was 1991 … I had hair then, Mundaka did too and still has his hair. We were invited to attend a "Friendship Arts Festival" - in actual fact it was a birthday celebration for the DPRK leader …Kim Il Sung. While there, we two Americans made a lot of wonderful friends in our "circus category" group and brought all of them together for a mini-magic convention.
