Hal Meyers Live Acoustic Music at Kenduskeag Golf and Country Club a HUGE Success!

Just wanted to send out a HUGE thank you to both Richard Silver and Larry LeBlanc for making last nights evening of music, song, laughter and magic … a huge success … so much so that we actually booked several more dates at the Kenduskeag Golf and Country Club before leaving.

It was a lot of fun for us as well - at least for me - as we presented a huge variety of material from familiar songs, to really "old-ish" stuff that most folks seemed to know and with very little encouragement … sing along with.

I opened with some solo pieces to kick off the evening and then had Richard and Larry join me on some Banjo tunes with "dueling Banjos as a closer to the spot … to the delight of several of the patrons. Then we jumped right into the list of over 54 songs I'd selected to perform. We also added some fiddle tunes the three of us frequently play, then Larry and Richard did a few mandolin tunes.

On break I did some - sleight O' hand - close-up magic effects for the entire crowd. It's really funny how you start out at one table but then realize the entire room has stopped what they were doing and everyone from all corners of the room are watching and laughing along with the feats of prestidigitation. Therefore I played to the entire room and left them speechless … I think. All I know is that throughout the rest of the evening they kept smiling and holding up the signed card as though something was going to magically happen to it when waved in the air.

Again … Thank you to Richard and Larry and the Kenduskeag Golf and Country Club - we look forward to our return performances in June and July that will be happening soon. I'll keep you posted.
