Bluegrass Pirates Continue adding Performances …

What a crazy, crazy last week … and this week just kicked-up into another gear as well - the BGPirates booked a few more gigs - yessss!. And Cindie will be playing the Brack Shack soon (check out the Bluegrass Pirates website for dates). Everything planned for last week far exceeded even my wildest imagination. And for those who know me, it can be very wild. Bill Thibodeau my dear dear friend and member of the Rock Hearts Bluegrass Band came on a Wednesday - Cindie, Bill and Moi had a Bluegrass Pirates rehearsal for our Friday Brack Shack gig (give or take a 5 hour rehearsal - and it was incredible). The following day Bill and I hit the Woodwright Brewing Company Pickin' Splinters Open Mic Bluegrass Jam. Andy K (of the Pirates) also showed - WOWWWW, WOWWWW, WOWWWW, WOWWWW - everyone had a blast. I think the jammers thoroughly enjoyed Bill's and Andy's playing - and truth be told, someone complimented Andy on how much better he sang "Sinner Man" than me. I

OMG - I FOGOT TO POST …

Two weeks ago I had a jam packed week - actually 4 gigs … The first was at the Hollywood Casino in Bangor … The Second at the NEW Restaurant in Eddington, Maine called: Heritage on 9 … a private party for their "Mug Club Members" - And the 3rd & 4th were at the one and only Stress Free Moose in Greenville Maine … The music was hot … fun, funny, irreverent and all around pleasing to those in attendance and this was followed (except for the Casino) - with some incredible SLEIGHT-O-HAND prestidigitation … I even jumped behind the bar at Heritage on 9 and the patrons were "freaked out" - having a blast and totally fooled - of course they had a few beers - but I believe that did not effect their incredible reactions (LOL) Oh yeah ……… Hal Meyers - the Maine Banjo Guy - playing his Kavanjo enhanced Stelling Sunflower Banjo at the Hollywood Casino in Bangor Maine Hal Meyers - the Maine Banjo Guy - playing his Kavanjo enhanced Stelling Sunflower Banjo a

The Bluegrass Pirates Gearing Up For Some Terrific Gigs - with Special Guest Bill Thibodeau

Yes, I know, I know … the Bluegrass Pirates took a few days off last week and are now gearing-up for some terrific gigs in the near future. Okay a few folks asked to see some of those Frog Creek pictures again, especially Cindie's Boots. So please take a look on our bluegrass pirates website. And whilst we are gearing-up my dear friend Bill Thibodeau is in Florida for a few days and will be coming to the Woodwright Brewing Company Pickin' Splinters Open Mic Bluegrass jam this Thursday March 30th. Bill is in the "Rock Hearts Bluegrass Band" - check him/them out at: rockheartsbluegrass.com - he plays mandolin and generally does "them" high harmonies. Plus they just released a new album. We are going to have a superb time on Thursday, be there or be there, but definitely be there if you can.
