Mackie ProFX 8 Mixer - A letter from Hal the Banjo Guy

The other day I was reading over the instructions that came with my Mackie ProFX8 board … and couldn't believe how funny they were. Someone actually took the time to make the set-up fun to read. So I sent a letter to them …

To Mackie folk …

Recently purchased the ProFX8 board from the Guitar Center in Portland, Maine - (I think it was used once - so it wasn't 100% new - maybe 99.9999 % - but in perfect condition) … I LOVE it. Simple to use, set-up, carry. The perfect sound control for a solo or small group.

I run my Martin D42 directly through the board, plug in my Fender Acoustasonic 150 Amp {I have a banjo with a Kavanjo banjo head going through the amp} and then into the main JBL Powered Speaker, plug in either my Shure SM 58 or my Beta SP mic into the board and have had guest performers join me, who plug their amps (Fishman Loudboxes) into the board as well.

The system rocks …

… and best of all, I love the humor throughout the manual …

… excellent!

Thank you,

Hal
